I don't have any problems waiting.
I would rather have a stable jb and wait then to have a buggy jb.
That being said Im starting to really notice that I dont have a jb. I miss all the features

I would wait. The 2011 Mini will likely come with 4GB standard. Probably would keep the 320GB HDD in the stock config, but you could still upgrade to 500GB.
2.4Ghz vs 2.0Ghz in the same line of processors isn't that big a CPU boost. the 2011 Mini will likely involve a move to Sandy Bridge which is a big CPU boost.

Although the original site seems to have gone, thanks to the magic of The WayBack machine, this collection should provide what you want - including some long lost System 6 sounds:

I'm still wondering how in the hell they are paying for all these free services offered to 10's of thousands of members (inc. me :D)...it just baffles me
i doubt they automatically set aside 1gb of space. i bet each user only uses as much space on the server as info they have on it. if a user signs up and never uses the service, only a few bytes are used, not a full gig.

Just please never give me a parallax 3D screen on my iPhone, or it'll induce vomiting. Until I can walk around in a 3D world and my brain doesn't know the difference between that virtual world and the real one, please let me stick with 2D!

I slept through it so when I woke up in the morning, most of the myths had been replaced by facts and quite a bit about what was happening was being broadcast on TV and radio. I still couldn't believe it though.

I agree about the InDesign approach, but as the other poster said, you will either have to invest in Illustrator, or in InDesign, to make the changes that you are looking to make.
InDesign would offer you more flexability, such as using a data merge to be able to plug in data fields and generate, for example, 20 different text fields with just the one template.
However, this does require you to learn the software whether it be InDesign or Illustrator to make the changes.

Hi folks-
I'm wondering if there's a way to empty only some of the files in the trash from the GUI. Basically I'd like to be able to keep the files I've deleted in, say, the last month, but empty the rest. From the command line I'd probably try something like:
$ find ~/.Trash -ctime 30 -exec rm {} \;
but it'd be easier to just open Trash in Finder, sort by date moved to Trash, and select the ones I want to empty. Anybody know a good hack for this?
Thanks,
Sean

I'm looking to setup an external hard drive with my airport extreme.
Plan to use it for:
Time machine backups
Air drive
I'm looking for about 500GB to 1TB. Ideally, the drive will be setup near my TV, so it is important that it is quiet. Any suggestions for an external drive?
Order of importance:
1. Quiet
2. Size (500GB+)
3. Price
4. Looks
I did search, but surprisingly did not find many relevant posts. If you are aware of any, please link to them. Thanks!

Tad higher than I'd like, but can probably be lived with (assuming the reported data is even accurate).
Not sure how Partition Magic would work with an array (never tried it).
I just use the OS's ability to partition, or on occasion, Acronis True Image (use it for backup and cloning under Windows, but it also has a partition tool in it).
Oh, ok.
So just partition in Windows, format one partition in NTFS, leave the other one as unallocated space and from OSX format this unallocated free space in HFS.
What is the most accurate temp reading software out for the Mac anywhere? Like RealTemp on the PC gives very accurate reads.
iStat was recommended to me on these forums, though I don't have much confidence in it.
As lazy as I am think I am going to remount. However the way the temperature rises does not feel like it's the CPU making poor contact.
It's like for 3 minutes during prime95 test the CPU temp difference will be in 5-6 degree range, then very slowly the CPU A starts climbing up.

Interesting "let's calm down" comments from Gizmodo (http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/cellphones/tmobile-and-apple-deal-in-the-works-we-think-not-206284.php) - with which I happen to agree.

My Hit Radio Free... listen to the music that you own in a new way, new highly rated songs play more, and you'll hear songs that you haven't heard in awhile, just like the radio. It won't get stale!

True...and Apple can do as they wish. But sooner or later their high priced Mac line will have to drop a bit in price if they wish to attract the "I ain't paying more than $900 for a bleeping computer" crowd. :)
Why?
They've held this strategy for over two decades and the only time they were in trouble, financially, was when they abandoned it.
Methinks you know tech a whole lot better than you do how to run a business.

This is really messing me up. My upgrade is available in 3 weeks and I figured I can just wait the extra month to get the 5 but if it is coming out in October then I don't know if i should just get the 4 as soon as my upgrade is ready and sell it when the 5 comes out or if I should just wait. My 3GS doesn't have any real problems but i just feel that after over a year and a half its time for something new.

By 'upside down' he means rotated 180 degrees, as if it was typed on a calculator display which was then viewed upside down.
