Uh no I didn't. I just interpreted the law. As someone implied earlier, this could all be a ruse. I might not have done anything I said in this thread. No one here can know 100% for sure, because you did not witness the event I claim occurred. That simple fact, in addition to any record searching anyone did without a warrant (which would be an invasion of privacy) would get anything I say in this thread thrown out of court faster than you could blink.

I cant downplay a windows phone cause I only had one in my hand for 30 seconds or so, Windows has its work cut out for them against apple eco system of devices and intergration. Best of luck to the competition. Competition is a good thing.

I'm calling it now. Apple's new "media center" device will be the iPod itself. I'm thinking that Apple will release a dock well suited for high definition video output to an HD tv.
People will purchase movies on iTunes, their movies will be transfered to their iPod upon updating and then, they can take their iPod to their TV (or anybody elses) for viewing movies on the large screen.
Remember.. I called it ;)

I think Apple needs to forget about adding new stuff to MobileMe considering they can't even get the basics done right. I've had a MobileMe account since it was iTools and I've had more issues with the mail service than any other email provider I've had. That includes free webmail for crying out loud!

:confused:I understand that Eyefinity offers a single display per connector. The best example being the 5/6 Mini DisplayPort video cards on the market.
What I have not seen are daisy chaining multiple displays from a single DisplayPort connector (via proper cabling) or from a passthrough based on a display to an additional monitor.

And then Apple would ruin Samsung, cratering them with winning lawsuits. Also, Samsung would lose their reputation in the supply chain as well as their credibility, and it would likely damage the Korean economy as a whole, and South Korea politically as well. You're talking about one company causing problems for tens of millions of consumers, and a mountain of negative news. If Samsung wanted to be bankrupted within a decade, this would be a way, for sure.

I will agree that it's rude of people to not allow others to pass when they are in the fast lane, but 90mph?! Are you joking? If you had been caught doing this maneuver of yours, it would have been a wreckless speeding ticket plus possible insurance fraud inquiries.

A shame about scrapping the idea of a ground up design - I hope that doesn't lead to a lack of innovation. That's what really leads Apple along! Although if they just make a killer phone (I'm sure they will at some point...) it's bound to sell buckets loads!

The MBA looks good as a netbook. It looks bad as an ultraportable.
MBA and MBP are two different markets.
MBA is for people that want light. MBP is for people that want a full featured notebook.
So you want a big MBA.
If they could have the same processors, that would happen already at 13".
So, ONE netbook which has an optical drive. Which makes the MBA look bad because it doesn't have one.
Actually, most netbooks make the MBA look bad because it doesn't have gigabit ethernet.
And a 15" Zacate which is not a notebook because the CPU is too weak, it's not a netbook, and it's not an ultraportable because it's too big would make an MBP without optical disk look bad because of the price, even if it has little reason to exist (unclassifiable in a bad way).

So, if there's no option to have heated seats in the Audi, that looks bad.

the "mac+ipod" back to school special runs through september 15. his steveness has pretty reliably held new releases until the day after those kinds of specials end. i believe a significant speed bump on the macbook pros and mac minis is imminent, along with some significant revisions to the ipod.

I used to have a laptop as a single computer at my home. It resembled a Christmas tree pretty much - it had an USB optical mouse, a printer, external speakers, a Yamaha keyboard, card reader and power cord plugged in. I was always plugging and unplugging cables whenever I wanted to move it to another place. Thank goodness I did not come to the idea to attach an external monitor to it.
USB keyboard + mouse? Was this from the 90s??? Bluetooth keyboards/mice and WiFi printers are how most people do it nowadays. Apples monitors even have a laptop power cord, speakers and a USB hub built in, so it's 3 cables max to attach. If it takes more than 5 literal seconds to connect/disconnect when you move, you're doing it wrong. And with their patents for doing eveything over one cable, looks like the futures only going to get easier.

Those are two different arguments of the same coin and one can infer a lot by the attitude of what is said.
The point is that MisterMe said nothing that your response would have fit. You can infer all you want, but it's very clear that MisterMe was talking about the market share myth, and was not inferring that Macs are immune to malware.

Windows 7 kicks ass, it's every bit as good as Snow Leopard if not better.
I especially like the x11 server integration that windows 7 has.... oh wait...
let's not get into blanket-statement flame wars here. For _some_ people W7 is great, for others, not so much. those of us that use the unix/x11 component of SnowLeopord really love it and miss it on W7.

Well here it is Sunday, still no official word from Apple or any other credible source confirming tuesdays launch. I just hope that this is NOT going to be a huge let down.
And hopefully when we do see this launch tuesday most people say Wow.
