It works from Apple's apps like it always has in 4.2.x. However, third party apps that support it can't stream more than audio in 4.2.8. None of the 4.3 features are here.

So, there's no audiophile grade headphone amp inside a MacBook Pro unfortunately. Still, there can be tremendous variation between the quality of the headphone output on a laptop.
What did you think of the sound when you tried your headphones on your MacBook Pro? How about if you connect a pair of high impedance cans?

I agree 100% with the comments about flash
I despise of flash with all my heart it is horrible
I have seen some really fun stuff coded in flash but I use a Firefox plugin to block flash content so as to avoid some of the nastier animated advertising. I occasionally come across sites that use flash for headings, personally I consider that a really bad idea for a number of reasons (which I won't elaborate).
The best way to learn html is to pick up Eric Meyer's book Eric Meyer on CSS (http://www.ericmeyeroncss.com/). Get yourself a copy and a text editor. If I could do it over again I would definitely choose this route. HTML is actually pretty easy, using it appropriately and confidently, that is the hard part.

Macrumors is basically at the top of my list, even tho i barely ever get the time to visit, when i first joined i was treated as a n00b just because I didn't have a mac back then, but heh, this site has gotten heck alot better since some of the flamers are longgggg gone now

hi recently ive been getting this error message everytime I try and download something from Safari. does anyone know how to solve this problem?? i attached a snapshot of the error message, hope the picture works!

Unfortunately, there's no easy way to fix this - what's needed is a reinstall of Safari, but doing that is easier said than done due to the way Apple sometimes bundles Safari updates along with operating system updates. If you're using Mac OS X 10.3.7, download the Mac OS X Combined Update 10.3.7 (http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosxcombinedupdate_10_3_7.html) (warning, it's a 97 MB file) and install it - it includes a Safari update, which MIGHT fix your issue. Otherwise, I'm not sure how to help, since I've lost touch with Mac OS X versions older than 10.3.

Your problem is that you formatted it as FAT32, which win7 doesn't like. What you need to do is create the partition with Boot Camp Assistant like before, but when it asks if you want to go to the installer, say no. Then use winclone to restore on that partition. I don't believe that it gets formatted in that process.

To answer your question, I just upgraded from JB 4.3.1 to JB 4.3.2 without restoring. Just updated to stock 4.3.2 in iTunes, then ran redsn0w over it to jailbreak, then reinstalled all my JB packages.
Not sure if not going through a full restore will have any adverse affects, I certainly haven't noticed any yet though!how did you reinstall you jb packages?
i never tried just updating, i usually do a full restore, the last one i did i wiped everything of my phone and started fresh cus it was a little sluggish and slow, after that is been running nice and smooth

Might be able to downgrade if you were JB before the upgrade and saved your keys with cydia or tiny umbrella.

"Plays nicely with the MAC" doesn't give a lot of information about what you're planning to use to edit on the Mac.
In general, however, most cameras shoot video that is made for playback, not editing. So, if you're planning to use FCP to edit, FCP can import many different formats and convert them to formats made for editing. In addition, there are free and not-free programs that can assist in converting your camera format to an editing format.
If you can provide more information about your needs, you'll probably get more informative responses.

I have Call of Duty 2 which really is great fun on Multiplayer, but I'm looking for something new.
I purchased Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth II but am not enjoying it very much, so I will return it tomorrow and swap for something else. Supreme Commander looks so cool but I am worried about how it will perform... it says it needs a 256 meg Vid Card recommended and I like my games to look good... Is Medieval II any good?
oh, and I quite enjoy strategy games. Civilization IV is highly recommended too... and I love Civ III.

The best option for the OP since his mother's ipad is still on 3.2.x is to jailbreak it with Spirit or whichever jailbreak allows for unthethered for 3.2.1 and wait for an untethered jailbreak for 4.3 which is (by all information) close to being finished.
This would give you the advantages of the jailbreak, and then you could update in a few weeks to 4.3 and get whatever features you want with that.
He can still jailbreak, just not update to 4.2.1. It's much better to jailbreak the 3.2.1 and wait a few weeks/(days?) for the unthethered jailbreak for 4.3 to come out.

The quotes in the article don't even imply the guy said AMOLED screens are better, only that there is only 3-5% less visible difference (using some of that creative math since the actual difference he states is 20%) between the AMOLED screens and Apple's new screen.
Even then it conveniently ignores the fact that AMOLED screens are completely useless outside.
In any case it's a weak and completely ineffectual attempt at muckraking.
Samsung's new "Super" AMOLED are actually somewhat visible outside. They are an improvement in that respect. Besides that, it will have inferior color reproduction and (IMO) over-saturated colors.

Ok thank you. If I got an iMac I would get a 21.5. And if I got a MacBook I would get a 13.3 screen size. But I'm not sure what to get?
