Wow - Godfather is great.
I played it solidly from 11am on Saturday until 2am on Sunday, hardly pausing for food even. Why would anyone want to play GTA when you can play something similar with a much better plot and characters?

Hi.
I tried to install and make use of USB network adapters as faster alternative to the classic Airport.
The first was an Asus WL-167g. The second was a D-Link DWL-G122. In either case, after installing the drivers, when trying to connect (or, in the case of the D-Link adapter, just after plugging it in), the computer gets blocked and I have a message saying in several languages that I must restart the computer.
Any ideas?
I noticed that both adapters share the same chipset (Ralink RT2500); may that's the problem? Any experience with working network adapters?

The best plan is to use iTunes to rip the CDs. First go to preferences and set the defalt files type to "Apple lossless". Then you feed in the CDs one at a time and they go straight into iTunes get tagged and it's simple. Some times tagging fails if youhave a rare CD that is not in the database then thr must type in the info.

remove the cube from its shell
place a sticky note where the power switch would be on the inside of the shell
replace the cube in its shell
turn it on
no mpre problem
for added fun, experiment with different colors of stickies to change the color of your power light (yellow and blue make ....)

The only applications that might use this are military applications. Which are most likely classified applications. But in short, no, a normal application wouldn't use it. ;)

Ok, this is the dynamic of the buyer:

I would buy one of those, would be like buying another computer. Now, I do not have the money for it, I may never have but there are companies with the resources to do it.

hi all,
i will be going to university tomorrow, and shall be living in a hall of residence with other students.
i realise that many student nowadays have wireless capable computers, and i wish to purchase an airport express station to have wireless flexibility in my room. is there any way of putting a password or authentication key on the connection so only i and people that i designate will be able to use it?
any advice much appreciated.

The recruitment seminar is really relaxed and you will get through it as long as you be yourself, engage with the recruiters and other people there and ask plenty of questions at the end regarding the job. Don't come over too much as a hardcore Apple fanboy but talk about how much you can't put down your iPhone/iPod. During the group exercises, make sure you try and come over as a good leader but good team player at the same time - make sure that your ideas are part of the main focus but be sure to agree with ideas that you wish you though of. Otherwise, just enjoy it as it's really relaxed and you will spend most of the two and a half hours watching a presentation, videos and doing some group exercises. They get through hundreds of CV's at a time and to get the chance to be considered is a good achievement. Just out of interest, what store are you thinking of joining and what position are you after?

So here's the deal. I have a 15" MacBook Pro that I want to sell. Aesthetically, it looks great, no dings, dents, or noticeable scratches. About 2 months ago, I started getting kernel panics, and it got to the point that I couldn't even boot without a kernel panic. I finally reinstalled OS X. Everything seems to be ok. It's up and running, hard drive is good, haven't had a crash or panic in quite a while. Heck, I typed a research paper on it last night.
After all the panics, I swapped the RAM out, and I think that made a difference.
I'd like to sell the MBP. I'd say it is in good order, not excellent given the issues I've had in the past. I'm willing to knock some off the price. I wanted to disclose this issue because when I sell it, that's final. You know it has had a history of kernel panics that required a complete reinstall of OS X. No returns, and I don't want to be hassled if something goes wrong down the road (I don't think it will).

-2.16 GHZ Core 2 Duo
-2GB installed (I can install another 2GB, only 3GB will be recognized and used by OS X)
-120GB hard drive
-Comes in the original Apple MacBook Pro box
-OS X Tiger install disk included.

-Power cord/brick included

Thanks for the review. When the iPod Shuffle was first announced, my first thought was "I'd never by that." However, I've come to see it as quite useful and it may be a perfect fit for me.

Has anyone been able to force an apple store to guarantee a Lion O/S upgrade for free with the purchase of a Macbook pro now?
You cannot force apple to do anything.
They have a policy and they adhere to that pretty well. I believe that if you purchase a mac within 2 weeks of the release date you can get a free upgrade.
You'll have to wait longer for a Mac to actually come with Lion preinstalled as apple will need to flush the supply chain of macs with 10.6

I use one of those cheap ones for more than an year! I'm very satisfied. Although I had to modify it a little bit it costed me about 10$.
