Could somebody tell me, please, if Uscis is sending 2 notices for finger printing? I mean one notice with one date and another notice with another date?Or is sending only 1 appointment.
I don't know where I read that you have to go for the finger printing 2 times.

I havn't gotten mine yet. Filed on Sept 11th at VSC. Check seems to have cleared though -according to the Attorney. However I guess the delay in my case is the exception rather than the rule.

For tax purposes you are resident of state where you reside. For best opinion you can check with the international students center at your school. It is not illegal to attend classes online if your school allows you the option. Again for best advise contact international center they are supposed to guide you to keep your status legal.

Situation- PD Current and eligible to file 485
Married but seperated. What should that person mention in the form?
If he mentions his wife's name on the form, would she get GC as well?
Does he need to submit any docs for his wife? Currently planning to file for himself only.

"Finally, there is another stop-gap proposalthat would �reclaim� 300,000 unused H-1B visa numbers as well as 250,000 wasted employment based
immigrant visa numbers and make them available in a floating pool as temporary relief. There has been a great deal of speculation that the House leadership may take the SAVE act and bring it to the floor before enough signatures can be collected to force a vote. The idea is that they would add some or all of these other proposals, or even amnesty itself, to the SAVE act to make it unattractive to the original sponsors�thus killing it.
It is doubtful that anything other than amnesty would kill this legislation.
There is a serious risk for the Democrats in forcing their members to vote
down an amnesty bill. That would undoubtedly alienate one of their core
voter constituencies.
If the SAVE bill passes, the likely result is that support for legal immigration reform will increase substantially. A number of members of Congress have said that they support legal immigration reform, but first want to see new enforcement measures put into place"

It should not. Go to the any INS office after you arrange for an appointment on line and ask tehm to replace your I-94 and to write the correct name.
Your case has been approved and tehre is nothing to do other than the above. My son been thru teh same process and when he applied for the visa abroad nobody asked him him at all about the error.

I recently changed my job, after getting a receipt from new employer. But I noticed that the attorney has done a typo in my middle name. she added 1 extra letter in the middle. can anyone please let me know if this would create any problem for me getting the H1B transfer approval and what is the way to correct it? Since I have already left my old job, I am kind of worried. Please reply back if anyone has come accross or aware of such case.

They would have verified PIMS while giving your wife the H4. But they will again verify with PIMS as one of the steps to issue the H1 visa. I dont think they will bypass it.

But now looking at my W2 it shows that my employer has been filing taxes in my previous state Missouri for the entire year. How should I go about correcting this? I was in Missouri for 5 months and in South Carolina for the remainder. In which state should I file my tax too?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

I filed i485 after my i140 approved. But my company was sold to an other company. Till my company didn't file i140 amendment.
Can i change job after 180 days of filing i485. Even though my amendment is not filed yet.
